(Dec. 12, 2006) – The Park View High School boys and girls basketball teams made a strong statement that they will both be a force in this year’s AA Dulles District race as they swept a doubleheader at Loudoun County.
Boys
Park View 57 Loudoun County 41
Records: Park View (3-0, 4-0), Loudoun County (0-1, 1-2)
Skinny: Amechi Anyaugo and Thomas Mulabah combined for 23 as the Patriots remain undefeated on the season and avenge back-to-back loses to the Raiders to end last season. Donne Lucas scores 18 for LC.
Girls
Park View 64 Loudoun County 55
Records: Park View (3-0, 3-1), Loudoun County (0-1, 2-1)
Skinny: Torsh Torto Terrific. Torto scores 28, including 12 of 13 from foul line as Patriots knock off last year’s district champion. Crystal Williams adds 15. Samantha Akers had foru 3-pointers and 15 points for Raiders.
