(Jan. 2, 2007) Loudoun County played two great games in the Fluvanna Christmas Bash.
We beat Willima Monroe on Wed. 59-37. Donne Lucas had 22 points and 8
rebounds while (soph) Brett Tagg chipped in with 13 points (3
-threepointers) Soph Tim McLister chipped in with 7 points.
On thursday we played the home team Fluvanna Flucos who play in the famous “shoe box gymnasium” We upset the home team 56-50.
Once again Donne Lucas lead the way with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and
he was 11-14 from the foul line. Brett Tagg had 12 points and (soph)Joe
Bushrod had 6 points, 6 assist, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Tanner Tagg
was a beast inside with 11 rebounds.
Fluvanna, who likes to press the whole game was forced to get out of
the press midway throught the 1st quarter as Loudoun County beat the
press and was converting layups. Loudoun county was 19 -26 from the
foul line.
We had 15 assists to only 13 turnovers.
The overnight trip was highlighted with a practice on Thursday at
Virginia’s U -Hall gymnasium, where the greats in the ACC once played.
The win improves the Radiers record to 5-5 on the season.
