Park View High School Athletics Press Release

March 14, 2007

Park View High School is proud to announce that three members of its
2006 varsity football team have signed National Letters of Intent to
play college football.

Deric Dudinski has
been a stand-out student-athlete for the Patriots both on and off the
field since his 9th grade year.  Currently holding the career rushing
record with 5,708 rushing yards, Dudinski also leaves Park View with
his name on 10 other career or season football records.  Along with
being an All-State selection on both offense and defense after his
senior campaign, Dudinski was selected by Rivals.com as the Virginia AA
Player-of-the-Year.  Deric has chosen to attend Division I-AA LaSalle
University located in Philadelphia.  La Salle Coach Tim Miller has
opened the corridor from Northern Virginia to La Salle University by
signing this high-profile standout.  According to Miller, Dudinski “is
a big part of what we are planning.”  In moving on from the Patriots,
Dudinski is excited as he begins the next step in his football career.

Amechi Anyaugo
returned to the football field in 2006 after taking a year off as a
junior.  Despite having a break in his football career, Anyaugo made an
immediate impact on both sides of the football for the Patriots.  In
his senior campaign, Anyaugo was selected 1st team All-Dulles District
on both offense and defense, as well as earning 1st team All-Region as
a linebacker.  While he accumulated more than 600 yards of offense and
11 touchdowns in a variety of offensive positions, it was Anyaugo’s
hard-hitting, aggressive play as an outside linebacker that caught the
attention of Division I-AA Norfolk State University.  Amechi accepted a
full-scholarship offer to join the Norfolk State Spartans and submitted
his National Letter of Intent back on National Signing Day, February
7th.  The Spartans’ Head Coach Pete Adrian is excited about his latest
recruiting class, and Anyaugo will have the opportunity to compete for
playing time as a freshman.

Corbin Barnes will be
taking his dynamic personality and passion for the game of football to
Division II Shepherd University next fall.  In 2006, Barnes totaled 59
tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, and one fumble return for a
touchdown.  His production earned him 1st team All-Dulles District for
the second straight season.  While Corbin was a mainstay of the Patriot
defense, his senior year saw him in the offensive backfield as a
full-back for teammate and co-captain Deric Dudinski.  In the fall of
2007 when Barnes makes the move to Shepherdstown, WV, his continued
work will add to the fine tradition that has made Shepherd University a
perennial contender in both the WVIAC and at the national playoff
level.  Coach Monte Cater has landed 25 prospects in his 2007
recruiting class.

Also, Corbin Barnes and Deric Dudinski were selected to play in the
VHSCA All-Star game to be held on July 13 in Hampton, Virginia.
