Sterling (May 9, 2007) – Park View High School is proud to announce
that a member of its 2007 varsity softball team has accepted an offer
to play softball for Shepherd University.
Nichole Pitcock has had an impressive career as a student-athlete
for the Patriots. As a softball player, she has been nothing short of
incredible these last two years. She took over pitching duties this
year after the graduation of Brittany Gardner and has been stellar. At
present, she has a 10-2 record and an ERA of 0.70. She is hitting .340
and leads the team in doubles and RBIs. She has been named Co-Captain
this year and has shown exceptional field leadership. In her junior
year, she led the team with a .468 batting average and was named to the
All District First team and the All Region II second team. Shepherd
Head Coach David Trail is excited about Nichole’s entering in the class
of 2011 and is looking forward to working with her both on the mound
and in the field.
On Monday, 14 May, Park View High School will hold a ceremony to
celebrate Nichole’s decision. The ceremony will be held in the library
at 3:45.
