Park View Volleyball Edges Freedom Behind Record-Setting Oliver

Sterling (Oct. 29, 2007) – Park View High School edged Freedom Thursday in the final game of the AA Dulles District regular season behind the record-setting play of Connie Oliver.


The Patriots (4-10, 8-11-1) won the match 25-14, 19-25, 25-20, 15-25, 15-8 to clinch the sixth seed in the district tournament which starts Tuesday with the Pats playing at Heritage. Freedom (0-14, 5-15) will travel to undefeated Loudoun County.

Patriot Connie Oliver broke the school record for kills in a season with 10 on Thursday to raise her total to 130. Also key for Park View, were Megan Brown (7 kills, 3 aces, 9 digs), Krista McManus (8 kills, 10 aces, 9 digs, 23 service points),  Emily Garcia (21 assists 7 digs),  Chrysa Matyuf (17 digs) and  Amanda Buck  (7 service points).
