(Jan. 12, 2008) – The Broad Run High School boys and girls basketball teams swept Park View on Friday in AA Dulles District contests.

Broad Run 61, Park View 55: The Spartans went on a 12-0 run in the first half to take control of this game, 20-9 and then they never trailed again. Patriots, behind Thomas Mulabah’s game-high 26 point, closed to within two points with 1:40 to play but BR iced the game at the line. R. J. Jasper led the Spartans with 14, including 6 of 8 from the line in the final quarter and Devon Earl added 13, six of which came in the last quarter. Scott Hiatt scored 10 and Didier Saidi added eight for BR. Marcus Freeman and C. J. Leizear each had eight for PV. BR is 4-1 in district, PV is 3-2.

AA Dulles District
Broad Run 49, Park View 42: Alexis Campbell had 20 points with nine rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead the Spartans past PV. Haley Johnson added 10 points and six rebounds for BR. PV got 12 from Rachel Miller and 10 from Karita Brown. PV went just 7 of 21 from the foul line while BR was 10 0f 16. BR is 4-1 in district, PV 3-2.
