(May 31, 2008) – Area teams brought home four regional titles Friday night including a pair by Broad Run High School’s undefeated powerhouse softball and girls soccer and a pair by two local boys soccer teams from Park View and Stone Bridge.

The Spartans won their 54th straight game in softball with a 16-0 blasting over Dulles District foe Loudoun County and their 21st straight game in girls soccer with a 6-1 win over Charlottesville to claim Region II titles. The Park View boys soccer team smacked Brentsville, 6-1, t0 claim a Region II title and the Stone Bridge boys soccer team edged Robinson, 1-0, to win the Northern Region title.

Broad Run gave up a four-run lead at Brentsville to lose 5-4 in the Region II baseball title game and Loudoun Valley softball fell at Battlefield in the Northwest Region title game, 1-0.
