(Oct. 23, 2008) – Can’t wait for the XC results from today or the big volleyball match final? Sign up for updates on Twitter (see below) and we will update you this afternoon on the XC winners and tonight we will have update during the match from Heritage vs. LC.

Previous Twitter Article:

(Oct. 15, 2008) – Forget the economic meltdown … a sure sign of the ending of the world may be that the LPS Monkey is now on Twitter!

Yes, the LPS Monkey, long the workhorse (er, worksimian?) behind the Loudoun Prep Sports website, has decided that he needs to share updates with you, the viewer, on his new Twitter account.

Want to know which stories are being updated? Want to know breaking news before we actually break it? Want to know if the LPS Monkey is playing Call of Duty instead of cleaning his room? Check out our Twitter account at http://twitter.com/LPSMonkey.

We were worried that the LPS Monkey even knew what he was getting into but, heck, he saw Paul Tenorio and Matt Brooks, Loudoun’s dynamic duo for the WashPost “twittering” away at football games and decided how hard can it be … just kidding Paul and Matt … you know the Monkey “loves ya” … hmmm, didn’t reallys ound right, did it?

Anywho … Check it out … you never know what the LPS Monkey will Twitter about next …

Disclaimer our lawyer (I.B. Suethem) made us print: No actual simians were harmed in the making of this report. The LPS Monkey bears no resemblence to LPS Editor Dan Sousa’s 16-year-old son Cooper, though, come to think of it, that kid doesn’t clean his room much. The LPS Monkey is in fact real … how else to explain the fact that he claims to have roomed with Sid and Marty Kroftt at Hanna-Barbera University and claims to have been turned down for the lead role in “Danger Island” because he was “too hairy”.
