Baseball
The Skinny: Potomac Falls starting 2-0 is not a surprise but Broad Run, after opening 0-2 vs. non-district, is 3-0 with a young team. Briar Woods at 0-2 was a preseason favorite by some. Dominon sits at 2-0.

Friday: Heritage (0-2) visits Broad Run (3-0) in a big game for the Pride as they don’t want to fall in an 0-3 hole to start Dulles campaign … PF (2-0) is at Park View (1-2) in an all-Sterling affair … LC (1-1) visits unbeaten Dominion (2-0) … Freedom (0-2) is at Briar Woods (0-2) in a rivaly game with one team exiting with their first district win and the other in an 0-3 funk.
Softball
The Skinny: Meet the Old Boss, Same as the New Boss … you know “Who” as Broad Run is 2-0 — and on a 60-game winning streak — but how about Potomac Falls with a 2-0 start including an upset over LC on Tuesday … The middle of the standings — Park View, LC, Dominion, Briar Woods — can beat any team on any given night … this is the closest the district has been from top to bottom in years.

Friday: Heritage (0-2) actually visits Broad Run (2-0) on Thurs. as the Spartans go to Richmond this weekend for a big tournament … Potomac Falls (2-0) in a big match-up at Park View (1-1) with Panthers given a chance to show Tuesday was not an upset … Loudoun County (1-1) looks to get back on track at Dominion (1-1) which lost 1-0 to BW on Tuesday … BW (1-1) hosts Freedom (0-2).
Boys Soccer
The Skinny: Broad Run sits on top of the table with six points (2-0) but six other teams already have points which trends towards a season in which no team will run away with the district title … After a tie against LC, Park View handled Heritage Tuesday in a rematch of last year’s district tournament title game that went into PK’s before the Patriots danced off with the title … How good is this district? BW at 0-2 is not going to finish winless in the Dulles by a longshot … Should be an entertaining year in boys soccer!

Girls Soccer
The Skinny: Broad Run girls are right where they have been for the past three years, at the top of the Dulles standings … Heritage and LC both have four points and these two Leesburg schools should fight it out with BW for that second regional playoff spot behind the powerhouse Spartans … Freedom is vastly improved and will upset some schools this season.
